The Synergy Baku Cycling Project is ready to tackle the 2015 season – the biggest season of its young life. The team’s biggest goal this year is to qualify Azerbaijan as a nation for the 2016 Rio Olympics. Along the way, the team structure will help its young Azeri riders to continue their personal development and also to do well in the first-ever European Games in Baku in June.

The Baku 2015 1st European Games ambassador for cycling sport and the popular TV presenter Ilking Hasanli had a visit at the AVIF office this morning. During his visit the ambassador met the AVIF Secretary General Farhad Aliyev.

The Synergy Baku Cycling Project is the newest member of the Movement for Credible Cycling. The MPCC’s stated goal is “to defend the idea of a clean cycling based on notions of transparency, responsibility and mobilization of its members.”

The Synergy Baku Cycling Project will open its 2015 campaign in Croatia at the GP Laguna Porec (UCI 1.2) on Sunday, February 15. The rolling course with a flat finish should suit sprinter Max Averin, who will lead the team.
