The Tour d'Azerbaidjan organisation is pleased to announce that a strong field of six Pro Continental team and 17 Continental teams will line up at this year's tour, starting on 3 May in Azerbaijan's capital, Baku.

Having recently announced the launch of the 2017 dates for the Tour d'Azerbaidjan, the organisation would like to take this opportunity to invite a selection of the media to the race. Starting on May 3 and running until May 7, the race gives you, the media, plenty of opportunity to realise the various angles needed to create news and stories, capturing the race and the country itself.

Mugerli second in Qinghai Lake
Matej Mugerli finished second on the fourth stage of the Tour of Qinghai Lake. The Synergy Baku Cycling Project rider narrowly missed the win in the bunch sprint.

A bilateral memorandum was signed between AzVIF and ASAPS
Azerbaijan State Academy of Physical Culture and Sports and Azerbaijan Cycling Federation signed a memorandum that will improve students' activity and education. Six national titles for Synergy Baku riders
Synergy Baku Cycling Project riders have brought in six national titles for 2016. Ioannis Tamouridis scored the double, winning both the time trial and road titles in Greece.

Mugerli wins Tour of Serbia
Matej Mugerli has won the overall title in the Tour of Serbia. In addition, Matija Kvasina finished third overall and Synergy Baku Cycling Project takes home the title of best team.
